Stylish hotel right in the heart of Melrose. Spotless and very comfortable room. Staff were helpful friendly smart and professional. We wish we’d eaten dinner there too, excellent menu. Will return to eat soon.
Handy location with great scenery and peaceful setting. Food was great - I had scallops and my wife fish and chips with house white excellent: All well priced. Breakfast was inclusive and offered great choice - full Scottish was nice. Room was superb, bed very comfortable. The shower was the most powerful ever - I could have been done in 45 seconds! Staff very friendly and helpful. We will be back!
Excellent service. Superbly appointed family run hotel. Rooms comfortable - finished to a high standard. Proper breakfast with decent sausages and bacon! Had the best steak this year in the restaurant. Only minor negative is no carpark BUT plenty of spaces outside and if they’re full the sister hotel directly opposite has a large rear carpark. Book it - you won’t be disappointed Will definitely be back.
Stayed 4 nights for a tweed river fishing trip. I would highly recommend this family ran hotel in the heart of Melrose. Room was large, clean and comfy. The breakfast and dinners were excellent and the staff where friendly and attentive.
Has a lovely stay here. It's friendly and welcoming, spotlessly clean, warm with really comfortable and quiet rooms. The breakfast was really good too.
I didn't stay, had an evening meal, eaten here a few times. Good choice, well presented and cooked, friendly staff and atmosphere. Another customer wasn't so happy, she had her meal replacement, which she finished and she wasn't charged.
Stayed here while walking St Cuthbert’s Way. Lovely small inn. Kind, friendly staff. High quality bed linens. So glad we chose the Townhouse!
Amazing staff and you shown us kindness and great hospitality. Wondered off the street and asked if they had a quiet spot in the corner out of the way of other diners so we could bring our nervous rescue dog with us. The staff were very friendly and accommodating on a Friday night. For us it was a great experience as we got to have a romantic meal and the food was delicious and also being able to bring our rescue to get him socialised with being out in public. See you again when we come back up north. A very memorable dining experience.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff and realxing atmosphere. Our twin room was spacious with a lovely view of the town centre and the hillside! Great choice at breakfast. Would stay again!
My first moment in the room was watching a clothing moth flutter around the wool blanket on the bed. Gross! I kept my clothes safely hidden. No hand soap at the sink, the bath water never actually got hot, no iron or board, no kettle! The room was strangely oriented and lacked all amenities. The bed was rock hard, but the pillows were nice. Clean. Mostly friendly staff. Food was completely satisfying & priced fairly. Very quiet despite being on a main road. Probably wouldn't stay again.
